More than 65 years of Claim Experience…

In 1949, Fred Maltman fulfilled a long held desire to introduce the Canadian Insurance market to a sophisticated and professional claims adjusting alternative. 1958 brought the official founding of FC Maltman and Company, based in Toronto, Ontario and Fred continued his journey for many years, building his vision for the company in Canada.

In 1988, four partners including John Breese, Tom Dorey and Randy Ffrench came together as Fred’s successors and strategically re-positioned the company. They recognized the globalization of insurance markets, and the need for an independent adjusting company with global reach and the international demand for the highest standard in local technical claims handling knowledge in specialty lines.

Maltman International was established in 2003 and since that time the company has expanded its reach to include all types of professional and general liability claims.  Testament to the success of the company in achieving this vision, is the global nature of the client base.  Today, Maltman International has become a truly international specialty firm and the team at “Maltmans” are market leaders and remain committed to delivering superior adjusting and claims management services to a demanding and discerning Insurance Market – just as Fred Maltman dreamed.

Maltmans offers the highest quality service, with in-depth technical knowledge, and have fully earned their reputation for being the preeminent firm in Canada for the delivery of specialty E&O, D&O, Environmental and Commercial Liability claims services.  Today, The Toronto Head Office coordinates the activities of a network of affiliate partners throughout Canada, the United States, and the World.
